In November 1980, just weeks before John Lennon’s tragic death, photographer Allan Tannenbaum was granted rare and total access to John and Yoko as they stepped back into the public eye after five years of seclusion. 

As a trusted figure in their circle, Tannenbaum captured moments of unguarded affection, quiet reflection, and playful connection—offering a window into a relationship defined by love, creativity, and mutual devotion.
